Salary is the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook’s median for accountants and auditors ($81,680, May 2024 data, the most recent figure published on the BLS page itself. Covers the broad Accountants and Auditors occupation (SOC 13-2011), not a staff-accountant-only breakout.). Benefits apply the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Employer Costs for Employee Compensation’s reported benefits-to-wages ratio to that salary. Software, hardware, office and turnover costs are working estimates, not sourced figures. Confirm against your own numbers before relying on this comparison. The seat fee is a starting price; your actual quote depends on scope.

FAQ

Questions finance leaders ask us before they sign.

How does the 14-day setup actually work?

Fourteen days from signed agreement to a working team. Days 1-3 we scope the roles with you: job descriptions, close calendar, software stack and quality metrics. Days 4-10 we shortlist pre-vetted candidates from our delivery center for each seat and you interview, test and approve every hire. The final days cover NDA execution, system provisioning, workflow documentation and supervised go-live on our floor. Nothing starts without your sign-off on every seat.

How do you keep our financial data secure?

Every engagement starts with signed NDAs, before any work begins. Our staff work on encrypted machines over 256-bit encrypted connections with zero local storage and disabled USB ports, inside a clean-desk, supervised delivery center with controlled entry and monitored floors. Access is role-based and least-privilege: your offshore accountants log into your QuickBooks, Xero or NetSuite under your user permissions and your access controls, so your data never enters our environment. Activity logs are available to your team on request.

Will the team overlap with US business hours?

Yes. Shifts are scheduled to guarantee US business-hours overlap every working day, so questions get answered and handoffs happen in real time, not overnight. Your dedicated team also joins your standups and close meetings on your calendar, and every seat reports daily production so you always know where the work stands.

Which accounting software do you work with?

Our teams work inside your systems with your licenses: QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, FreshBooks, Bill.com, Expensify and ADP are the most common, and we onboard to virtually any web-based ERP or GL platform. There is no data migration and nothing new to buy. Your offshore staff log into the same tools your in-house team uses, under accounts you provision and control.

How does pricing work?

One flat monthly fee per dedicated seat. No hourly billing, no percentage of revenue, no setup surprises. A dedicated offshore staff accountant seat starts from $28,000 per year. For comparison, the median US accountant salary alone is $81,680 (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook), before benefits, software, office costs or turnover. Seat counts can scale up or down with 30 days' notice, and turnover replacement is included in the fee.

Who owns the workpapers and the work product?

You do, entirely. All work is performed inside your systems, every workpaper, checklist and reconciliation is documented to your close standards, and the complete file lives in your document management environment. If you ever leave, full handover of documented processes, open items and files is included at no extra cost.

Does this replace our in-house finance team?

No. Dedicated offshore seats take on the volume work, day-to-day transaction coding, reconciliations, AP/AR processing, workpaper prep, so your senior in-house staff and partners spend their time reviewing exceptions and advising clients instead of doing data entry. Every offshore seat works under your supervision, inside your systems, with your sign-off at every hiring step.

What happens if an offshore hire doesn't work out?

You never inherit the hiring risk. If a seat isn't performing, replacement and retraining are included in the flat monthly fee, not billed as an extra project. You approve every candidate before they start, and you can request a swap at any point during the engagement.

Does this comply with IRS rules on sending tax data offshore?

IRC Section 7216 requires your client's written, signed consent before any US tax return information is disclosed to a preparer located outside the United States, in place before work begins, not after. For any engagement touching tax-return information, we work within that requirement: offshore seats do not begin workpaper prep, document gathering or return assembly on a client file until that signed consent is on hand, and Social Security numbers get the additional handling the regulation requires.

What's the difference between this and traditional outsourcing?

Traditional outsourcing hands a process to a vendor who owns the output, often through a pooled team you never meet. This is staffing, not outsourcing: you interview and approve each named person before they start, they work full-time inside your own QuickBooks, Xero or NetSuite account under your access controls, and the same individual shows up to your standups every day rather than a rotating pool. You direct the work the way you would an in-house hire. We handle recruiting, payroll, HR and the desk they sit at.

Can your team perform audits or sign off on financial statements?

No. Offshore seats prepare and support: PBC lists, audit schedules, tie-outs, workpapers and trial balances, all built to your or your auditor's format. A licensed, US-based CPA must review the work and issue any audit opinion or attest conclusion. We are a preparation and capacity partner, not a substitute for your firm's own licensed sign-off.

Do you work with CPA and accounting firms managing many end-clients?

Yes, this is a common setup. A dedicated seat is assigned to your firm, not to a single client, so the same offshore accountant works across your client portfolio under your own workflows, review process and chart-of-accounts conventions, rather than switching teams per client. You keep full visibility into which hours and tasks map to which end-client, and your firm stays the only point of contact with those clients.

What's the difference between offshore and nearshore?

Offshore means a team in a distant time zone and jurisdiction, typically outside your own region entirely. Nearshore means a team in a nearby country, often closer in time zone and sometimes in legal or cultural framework, usually at a smaller discount. We run offshore delivery with scheduled US business-hours overlap built into every shift, which is the main practical gap nearshore providers use to differentiate themselves, so you get offshore pricing without losing real-time overlap with your team.

Is there a long-term contract?

No multi-year agreement is required to start. Seats run on the flat monthly fee described in pricing, with 30 days' notice to add, reduce or end any seat, the same terms that apply whether you're scaling up or stepping back.

Is this built for firms our size?

Most often, yes, if you're below the largest tier. A 2025 benchmark survey found 71% of US accounting firms over $10M in revenue already offshore or outsource staff, versus only 42% in the $5-10M range (Rosenberg MAP Survey, via CPA Trendlines benchmark report). Adoption is heaviest at the top and still building just below it. That's the segment this model is built for: firms making the decision now, not firms retrofitting a program that's already years old.
